A PDF to text converter is useful for copying text from reports, forms, documents, invoices, ebooks, articles, research notes, and other text-based PDF files.
For scanned documents, you may need an OCR tool because scanned pages are often images instead of selectable text.
Upload a PDF, choose the page range and spacing option, then click Extract PDF Text. The extracted text will appear in the text box.
Usually not unless the scanned PDF already has embedded OCR text. Image-only scanned PDFs need OCR before text can be extracted.
This page extracts text in your browser using JavaScript. The PDF does not need to be uploaded to your server for this tool to work.
PDF files store text by page position, so extracted text may not keep columns, tables, spacing, or line breaks exactly like the original PDF.
